ONE LAST
QUESTION
Now that fall is around the corner,
what is your most ideal late-summer
activity?
“Trying to beat the 100-degree heat in Texas. August is always a bad month
for us as far as heat goes. It's going to be the worst. It's 100 degrees, and it's
not atypical to be 100 degrees with 90 percent humidity. My kids are college
age, too, and I'malways in late summer getting themprepared to go back.”
Todd House
Deputy City Engineer/Capital Improvement Program, Burleson, Texas
“I'm not going to get to do this year, and that's watching the New York
Yankees getting ready for the postseason. I'm happy as a clam if they're just
doing what they're paid a ridiculous amount of money to do, and
unfortunately I think we're going to Derek Jeter finish off his incredible
career with just an awful season.”
Richard Shelala
Director, Compass Forwarding Co.
“We tend to take our vacations late in the summer, so ours is usually taking
our family vacation, getting away somewhere and totally detaching and just
spending a good week with family. We just got back from Grand Cayman. I
got outvoted. I wanted to go to the mountains and get cool air, but I had to
settle.”
Blake Chatelain
President/CEO, Red River Bank
“It's one I've been doing for the last several years, going to the U.S. Open in
New York City. Spending Labor Day weekend in New York City watching
tennis. I've been doing that for about five years and it's awesome. It's
fantastic. It's very well run and all that kind of good stuff.”

Executive Vice President, National Roofing Contractors Association
